There is a four-bed side and two bed side which have their own communal space including a lounge, wet room, and garden area. The gardens have trampolines, a swing, basketball hoop, bikes and a gazebo for picnics & BBQ’s in the summer.
We have a separate annex joining the bungalow which has its own bedroom, bathroom and open-plan living room, kitchenette and garden. There is one communal kitchen in the centre of the bungalow and a large front garden.
The service provides many outings and once a month (prior to lockdown) we did a big trip out this can included trips to Madame Tussauds, Planetarium, Chessington World of Adventure, Thorpe Park, and many more well-known attractions and places of interest. We also take annual holidays (prior to COVID) to France and hope to resume this soon!
The people we support also attend local adult learning centres in Basildon and Brentwood which supports the activities of daily living skills provided within the home environment. At college they learn all about health, yoga and fitness with sports, music, dance and art.
